Chris Toth - Interim Head Golf Professional

Born in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Chris started playing golf at 4 years of age. Loving the sport, he decided to follow the path of a golf professional starting his career in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. After 3 years there, he moved to Edmonton to finish his education at MacEwan University. Chris is an accomplished player who has won the PGA of Alberta Championship twice, PGA of Alberta Assistants' Championship once, has played on several PGA of Alberta Teams and has numberous professional wins. He is an accomplished instructor. His passion for the sport is unmistakable.

Cody Hancock - Teaching Professional & Junior Golf Coordinator

Born and raised in St. Albert, Cody attended MacEwan University where he played on the Griffins golf team for three seasons. After graduating from the Professional Golf Management program, he joined the PGA of Canada in 2013 and achieved his Class A status in 2017. Cody spent seven years at Cardiff Golf Club before joining our team in 2018. Cody’s passion lies in helping golfers reach their goals and enjoy the game more.

Chase Rau - Apprentice Golf Professional

Chase was born and raised in Westlock. His passion for golf began at an early age at the Westlock Golf Club where he was Junior Club Champion 3 consecutive years. He worked on the Turf Care crew from 2011 - 2015 while attending University of Alberta in the faculty of Education. Chase passed his playing ability test after joining Sturgeon Valley in 2020 and is working to become a Class "A" Associate Professional. Chase is an approachable and friendly addition to the professional staff at Sturgeon Valley and is looking forward to developing as a Golf Professional.

Mason Yung - Apprentice Golf Professional

Mason, born in Edmonton and raised in Hinton, Alberta, joined Sturgeon Valley back in 2014. He started golfing at 13 years old and fell in love with the game ever since. He worked in the backshop at the Hinton Golf Course and Golftown before coming to Sturgeon. Mason attended Grant MacEwan University taking the Golf Management Program and Business Management. He recently turned professional and joined the PGA of Canada in July 2022, and he's looking forward to expanding his passion in golf and growing the game.
